Host Job Description

At Troon Golf, we are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Host to join our team. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Welcome and Seating: Greet each guest with a warm smile and escort them to their assigned table, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience.
  • Service Flow and Control: Manage the flow of work in the dining room, seating guests in rotation while maintaining accurate guest lists and following check-in procedures.
  • Side Work and Supervision: Assign and supervise side work, ensuring all stations are set up and ready for service, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and appearance.
  • Reservation Management: Maintain the reservation book, take incoming calls, and note special requests and reservations.
  • Menu Knowledge and Service: Remain knowledgeable about all menu items, prices, and service procedures, providing exceptional service to our guests.
  • Appearance and Cleanliness: Maintain high standards of appearance and cleanliness in all service areas, ensuring a positive impression for our guests.
  • Guest Communication: Remain visible and accessible to guests, staff, and management, communicating guest requests and concerns effectively.
  • Pre-Service Preparation: Check all tables daily to ensure proper settings, and assist with side work and bussing tables as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • No prior experience is necessary, as we provide comprehensive training.
Other Qualifications:
  • Regular and reliable attendance is essential.
  • Demonstrate an outgoing and friendly attitude, providing exceptional service to our guests.
