Job Summary
The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for the manual preparation and packaging of products, performing a variety of essential tasks.
Key Responsibilities include the following:
BONE FILL DEPARTMENT
Fillers:
· Remove products from boxes and place them on trays on the cold table.
· Use a filling nozzle to add food filling to products and transfer trays onto the conveyor belt for processing.
Cleaners:
· Retrieve products from the conveyor belt and clean each item thoroughly.
· Use a spatula to remove any hardened filling as necessary.
Packers:
· Assemble boxes and prepare pallets for shipping.
· Sort and organize products as needed.
· Clean products as required.
· Place products on the conveyor for shrink wrapping.
· Inspect shrink-wrapped products for damage.
· Apply date stamps and labels to boxes.
· Count finished products, pack them into boxes, and place them on pallets.
· Maintain cleanliness in the work area through regular sweeping and mopping.
PACKAGING & VARIETY ROOM DEPARTMENT
· Assemble boxes and prepare pallets for distribution.
· Sort and organize products as necessary.
· Clean products as required.
· Manually load products into machines for wrapping.
· Transfer wrapped products onto the conveyor for shrink wrapping.
· Position vinyl or printed bags on sealers for sealing.
· Control the start, stop, and speed of the conveyor.
· Inspect shrink-wrapped products for quality assurance.
· Apply date stamps and labels to boxes.
· Count finished products, pack them into boxes, and place them on pallets.
· Perform general housekeeping duties, including sweeping and mopping the work area.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and Experience
No prior experience or training is required.
Language Skills
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional or no variables.
