Job Overview

The Activities Coordinator position at HIGH DESERT PACE will oversee the development and implementation of daily, monthly, and special events activities to improve or maintain physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual functioning.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team (IDT) and attend morning updates to report changes in participants' baseline status.
  • Provide feedback to the Day Center Manager regarding care plan intervention outcomes.
  • Coordinate group and individual activities addressing participants' needs.
  • Develop activities including exercise, arts and crafts, birthday celebrations, special events, recreational games, cognitive groups, and community outings.
  • Maintain confidentiality of participant information and report concerns directly to the Day Center Manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of experience in activities/therapeutic recreation related services with geriatric populations.
  • A minimum of one year of documented experience working with frail or elderly populations.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Spanish speaking is preferred.
  • Experience in planning and hosting events is essential.
Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
