Your Role:
This position is under the supervision of the Product Marketing Director. We are in search of a Product Marketing Manager for our Distribution Solutions Gas Insulated Switchgear portfolio, which includes primary GIS and ring main units (RMU) tailored for the US market.
The Product Marketing Manager will spearhead the development and execution of the portfolio strategy across various market segments, channels, and specific target accounts.
In this capacity, the PMM will synchronize all marketing initiatives across LPGs in alignment with the global strategy for GIS and RMU.
Work Arrangement:
This role offers flexibility for hybrid or remote work; however, candidates should ideally be situated in a major metropolitan area within the central or eastern US time zone.
This position contributes to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan, and ensure the execution of the local go-to-market product marketing strategy, which includes defining and articulating product value propositions and positioning in line with the global product marketing strategy.
- Focus on achieving targets for metrics such as total demand orders (both ABB and third-party), growth margin percentage, net price variance, Net Promoter Score (NPS), inventory turnover on finished goods, and on-time delivery as required.
- Assess market opportunities, identify suitable activities aligned with the overarching strategy, and coordinate initiatives across local divisions and business units as necessary.
- Ensure balanced growth across all product lines, product groups, and business units while generating product demand through the promotion of technical features, providing solutions, and employing a value-based selling approach.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with an MBA being advantageous. Candidates should possess over 8 years of experience in technical marketing and/or sales, with a comprehensive understanding of the electrical industry.
Proficiency in technical comprehension, business management, and financial terminology is essential. A proven track record of cross-organizational and cross-cultural collaboration and communication is necessary, along with experience in engaging senior management both internally and externally.
Applicants must already possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
