Experience: 2 years preferred, will consider 1 year; open to first-time travelers
License: Active MD or Compact License required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, CPI, PALS
Must-Have:
- References: 2 satisfactory professional references needed, including 1 supervisor/manager and 1 charge RN
- Influenza Vaccine: Required; no exemptions
- Ability to float within the hospital with no restrictions or special requests within the experience scope
Job Description:
- Provide high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Room
- Self-scheduling available with every other weekend (EOW) requirement
- Number of Beds: 47
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Patient Population: Diverse; facility is not a trauma center
- Compliance documentation deadline is 3 days prior to start
- Requests for time off (RTO) must not exceed 7 days; more than 4 consecutive days off will add an additional week to the contract
- Most locations allow for one major holiday off during the winter season
- Orientation: 24 hours (non-billable)
Note:
Local candidates located within a 50-mile radius are highly discouraged and will be considered last. Floating within the hospital is necessary, and return travelers must have been away for at least 6 months. Return staff must have been gone for 12 months before returning as a traveler.
