Facility Maintenance Technician
Position Summary:
The Facility Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in our operational team. This position is responsible for executing preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues, and performing repairs to ensure optimal functionality in accordance with company standards. You will work closely with onsite staff and service providers, overseeing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and various systems within our commercial facilities.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Address service requests and work orders in a timely manner.
- Provide updates on project progress through appropriate communication channels.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on plumbing and electrical systems.
- Keep detailed records, operation logs, and documentation up to date.
- Regularly inspect facilities, manage service requests, and monitor equipment lifecycles.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure the success of property operations.
- Support the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives.
- Conduct thorough site inspections and manage resulting actions.
- Adhere to the company's Operational Compliance Program.
- Foster a safe working environment and build positive relationships with clients.
- Coordinate work schedules with service providers and clients.
Qualifications Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience in commercial HVAC or a related field.
- Strong mechanical skills and a focus on customer service.
- Capability to operate a scissor lift at heights of 40 feet.
- Experience with overhead doors, lighting systems, and loading ramps.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and conduct site inspections.
