CAD Draftsman

Ampcus Inc. is a leading provider of technology and business consulting services. We are seeking a skilled CAD Operator to join our team.

The CAD Operator will utilize Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to prepare detailed drawings for various design disciplines. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles, construction techniques, and drafting practices.

• Prepare moderately complex design and construction drawings in a clear and efficient manner.
• Develop drawings from sketches and data provided by engineers and designers.
• Organize design drawings following generally accepted practices to ensure constructability and consistency with design intent.
• Assist other CAD Operators in developing skills and techniques for efficient and accurate drawing production.

• High school diploma or technical trade school certification.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of applicable experience as a CAD Operator may be substituted for a degree or certification.

• Working knowledge of fundamental engineering principles, construction techniques, and generally accepted drafting practices.
• Knowledge of internal and external CADD issues to improve quality and production of design drawings.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Raster Design.
• Experience with Engineering Document Management Systems (EDMS) is required.
• Basic oral communication skills to interact with others within the department.
