Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at Northern Tier Counseling Inc. As a key member of our counseling staff, you will provide professional counseling services to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations to determine the most effective treatment plan for each client.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including counseling sessions, group therapy, and family counseling.
  • Monitor and manage a caseload of clients, providing ongoing support and guidance throughout their treatment journey.
  • Facilitate group counseling sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for clients to share their experiences and connect with others.
  • Present case summaries at staff meetings, providing valuable insights and updates on client progress.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in a related field, such as chemical dependency, psychology, social work, or counseling.
  • A valid license to practice as a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor (LSAC) or a related credential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of substance use subcultures, crisis intervention methods, and individual, family, and group counseling techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
