Job Overview

The position of Museum Artifact Manager at PCI Productions, LLC requires an experienced professional to oversee the care and management of NASA artifacts and exhibits.

About the Job

Responsibilities include:

  • Directing team members in managing complex activities related to government property administration;
  • Performing self-assessments to ensure the Property Management System remains compliant;
  • Overseeing operations covering FAR property outcomes;
  • Caring for, controlling, storing, and maintaining artifacts;
  • Maintaining planning, repair, and damage mitigation plans for collections;
  • Documenting and tracking property on loan;
  • Developing metrics related to internal control goals and objectives;
  • Implementing program control documents to ensure property custodians have necessary knowledge;
  • Coordinating Property Survey Reports and developing corrective actions;
  • Maintaining property procedures and ensuring adherence to regulations;
  • Generating reports for management and customers;
  • Directly interfacing with management, customers, and the public;
Requirements

We are seeking a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization from an accredited college or university and 10 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will possess advanced oral and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, problem-solving abilities, and independence.

Preferred Qualifications

PREFERRED qualifications include NPMA Property certification and knowledge of industry leading standards such as ASTM E53. Familiarity with auditing techniques and best practices for heritage artifact care is also desirable.
