Butcher Associate Overview

Deliver exceptional, courteous, and efficient service to all customers at MCKEEVER ENTERPRISES INC. Ensure optimal product availability within all meat displays to enhance sales opportunities. Follow established guidelines for preparing and packaging meat products. Uphold sanitation and safety standards in accordance with company protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consistently strive to provide courteous, efficient, and friendly customer service.
  • Engage with customers by maintaining eye contact, smiling, and expressing gratitude upon fulfilling their requests.
  • Keep a tidy, organized, and clean workstation at all times.
  • Manage the meat display to ensure adequate product levels, accurate pricing, and proper expiration dates.
  • Rotate inventory to maintain freshness and remove any damaged or expired items.
  • Prepare and process various meat products, including sausage and cube steaks, while wrapping items as necessary.
  • Conduct sanitation tasks within the department, adhering to corporate and state regulations (e.g., cleaning equipment, shelves, and floors).
  • Minimize product loss by following relevant policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management while complying with all company policies.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to read and write at an 8th-grade level.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb.
  • Frequent use of hands, wrists, arms, and shoulders.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds from waist to shoulder level on a regular basis.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds from floor to overhead.
  • Occasionally carry and lift up to 80 pounds from floor to waist level.
  • Occasional pushing and pulling of weights up to 70 pounds.
  • Constant exposure to a cool working environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a retail setting.
