Job Title: ICU Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled ICU Nurse Specialist to join our team at MedPro Healthcare Staffing. As a travel nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Job Summary:

The ICU Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those requiring life-sustaining therapies and interventions. This role requires strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those requiring life-sustaining therapies and interventions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to address these needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to these interventions.
  • Participate in emergency nursing procedures, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation and code blue responses.
Requirements:
  • Active RN license in the state of practice.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • At least 18 months of recent experience in an acute care ICU setting.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
