The Senior Claims Analyst - TPA Oversight role operates under a hybrid work model, combining in-office and remote work.

Position Summary

This position is dedicated to the technical management of claims for Chubb's insured clients across the nation. You will oversee intricate general liability and automobile claims, whether they are litigated or non-litigated. This role necessitates a professional who can take responsibility for the comprehensive handling and resolution of claims, which includes investigation, coverage assessment, reserving, negotiation, and strategies for settlement or trial. The position may involve travel and requires collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. You will represent the organization in discussions with management and partners, as well as during mediations, arbitrations, settlement meetings, and trials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service while effectively collaborating with insured parties, brokers, and third-party administrators in the resolution of casualty, specialty risks, and business auto claims.
  • Assess coverage and convey coverage positions, as needed, under the guidance of a supervisor and coverage unit.
  • Conduct, coordinate, and lead investigations into loss details and the extent of damages incurred by third parties.
  • Supervise and closely monitor assignments to experts and legal counsel.
  • Evaluate information regarding coverage, liability, and damages to ascertain the level of exposure for both the insured and the company.
  • Establish reserves within authorized limits or provide recommendations for reserve adjustments to a supervisor.
  • Communicate with reinsurers and facilitate the timely collection of reinsurance for accountable matters.
  • Travel to conferences, mediations, and trials as required, with travel commitments ranging from approximately 10% to 15%, subject to business needs.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a claims professional with significant expertise in managing high-exposure claims, focusing on hands-on file and litigation management.
  • Experience in Automobile and General Liability (GL) claims, including Products, Premises Liability, Oil/Gas and Energy, Trucking, and Advertising Injury.
  • Proven background and ability to handle complex coverage issues.
  • Familiarity with the principles of insurance and legal frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Property & Casualty Group coverage and services.
  • Understanding of industry best practices and procedures.
  • Capacity to work independently and assimilate diverse learning materials from various sources.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with clients and business partners professionally.
  • Ability to make prompt, informed decisions based on thorough analysis of complex matters.
  • Demonstrated strong relational skills, particularly in challenging or high-pressure situations.
  • A law degree is preferred but not mandatory.
