Job Title: Occupational Therapist PRN

Heartland Country Village is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer. We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Occupational Therapist to plan, develop, and direct occupational therapy services in compliance with federal, state, and local standards. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, relevant experience, and the ability to meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop, and direct occupational therapy services in compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with administration, medical staff, and other departments to plan therapy services.
  • Maintain therapy standards and contribute to standardizing occupational therapy methods.
  • Review and update therapy policies, procedures, and manuals.
  • Interpret therapy policies to personnel, residents, and family members as necessary.
  • Assist in discharge planning, resident care plans, and assessments.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs and address identified deficiencies.
  • Evaluate staffing needs, recommend personnel, and assist in recruitment.
  • Provide guidance, training, and maintain a positive working environment.
  • Review therapy requests, interview residents, and schedule therapy.
  • Participate in resident assessments, care plans, and quarterly reviews.
  • Conduct therapy in residents' rooms and ensure informative therapy notes.
  • Develop and participate in in-service education and orientation programs.
  • Attend workshops and seminars to stay informed on healthcare changes.
  • Assist in developing safety standards and ensure compliance with infection control procedures.
  • Recommend equipment and supply needs, and ensure safe operation of therapy equipment.
  • Assist in developing occupational therapy plans for individual residents.
  • Meet physical requirements, including lifting a minimum of 25 pounds.
Qualifications:
  • Occupational Therapy license.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Relevant experience in occupational therapy.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements.
