Key Responsibilities- Assess, monitor, and intervene for cardiac procedures, including left and right heart catheterization, coronary stents, and pericardiocentesis.
- Administer oral and intravenous medication to patients, managing sedation and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and their families regarding surgical site care, lifestyle, medications, and postoperative information.
- Manage paperwork, including patient consent forms, charting, lab results, and procedure documentation.
- Collaborate with other medical staff as needed.
- A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
- ASN Required; BSN Preferred.
- Registered Nurses must possess the ability to assess, plan, direct, intervene, and evaluate patient care.
- The RN must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written.
