Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Specialist to join our team at T. Marzetti Company. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily sanitation tasks, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment, floors, and walls, to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Follow established sanitation schedules and protocols to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or system differences to the supervisor or manager.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure a smooth and efficient production process.
  • Participate in quality control initiatives to ensure compliance with company, customer, and government standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in an industrial environment handling sanitizing chemicals and non-toxic food products desired.
  • Training in forklift and pallet jack operation preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instruction sheets provided with cleaning chemicals.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work cooperatively with a team.
  • Passing score on a written test required.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to heat, fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the plant is loud, and earplugs, steel-toe shoes, and hairnets are required in the plant in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
