Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mammography services to patients in accordance with physician orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare mammography rooms and diagnostic equipment for use.
  • Perform high-quality mammography testing, operating equipment according to prescribed safety standards.
  • Develop films in accordance with proper techniques.
  • Evaluate mammography images for technical quality and ensure proper identification is recorded.
  • Provide patient education on procedures according to age-specific needs.
  • Facilitate patients' cooperation and alleviate anxiety by addressing concerns.
  • Verify appropriate procedures to be performed by checking physicians' orders, outpatient prescriptions, and prior reports.
  • Contact physicians with discrepancies.
  • Ensure patient information is accurately inputted into the departmental computer system.
  • Provide timely, responsive, expert services to customers in a positive and friendly manner.
  • Maintain strict patient and employee confidentiality, as appropriate.
  • Explain how patients should expect to receive exam results.

Requirements:

  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) required at hire.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification required at hire from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • One (1) year of mammography experience preferred.
