We are committed to providing high-quality educational experiences for the next generation of veterinary professionals. Our DVM Student Externship Program offers a unique opportunity for students to gain practical experience in a well-run and contemporary small animal practice.

Program Structure

Our externships are flexible and can range from two to eight weeks in length, depending on your college curriculum. You will work alongside our veterinary team and participate in all aspects of patient care, including gathering histories, performing physical examinations, and developing diagnostic and therapeutic plans.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Gain hands-on experience in a small animal practice
  • Develop your problem-solving, technical, and communication skills
  • Work alongside our veterinary team to provide high-quality patient care
  • Participate in all aspects of patient care, including surgery and medical cases
Requirements
  • Be enrolled in an accredited DVM program
  • Be authorized to work in the United States
  • Carry professional liability insurance
About Us

We are dedicated to providing a supportive and educational environment for our externs. You will be assigned a mentor and work on the learning objectives as defined by your college program or to meet your specific goals. At the end of the externship, your mentor will provide a written evaluation of your performance as required by your college program.
