  • Repair and service machinery to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain, safely operate, and care for assigned service truck and company-owned tools and equipment.
  • Stay up-to-date with all safety training, product training, and service department goals.
  • Complete assigned work with minimal re-work.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Properly and safely use company-owned tools and service equipment.
  • Order parts and materials to complete work assignments.
  • Ensure all company safety requirements are followed at all times.
  • Complete all required paperwork and maintain records/photos/other materials as required.
  • Leave the working location in an as clean or better condition when job is completed.
  • Follow contamination control procedures.
  • Complete all DOT requirements, including physical, medical card, and safety regulations.
  • Seek formal and informal performance assessments.
  • Actively participate in required training, development programs, and electives.
  • Respond positively to other duties assigned in the scope of the job.

Requirements:

  • Satisfactorily achieving and/or meeting the following Experience, Competencies, and Proficiencies:
  • Experience and/or Education: Trade school completion in an appropriate field.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in a positive and enthusiastic manner.
  • Knowledge of safe job practices and regulations related to OSH and MSHA requirements.
  • Aptitude for repairing, troubleshooting, and servicing equipment in changing environments.
  • Mechanical knowledge of tools and mechanical work for repairing equipment.
  • Above-average knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, and diesel engines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Raise issues and concerns promptly.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Document work in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven ability to complete work with energy and enthusiasm.
  • Customer orientation toward service and building relationships.
  • Ability to work branch hours and extended days as needed.
  • Must possess own set of tools for repairing equipment.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The position requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods.
  • The position requires the ability to kneel, stoop, bend, climb, and crawl without restrictions.
  • The position requires the continuous use of wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • The position requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • The position requires the ability to work in varying outdoor environments with various terrain.
  • Must possess the ability to safely drive a field service truck and pass DOT physical and MVR requirements.
