Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide/Cook to join our team at Keosauqua Health Care Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing meals, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve meals to residents in accordance with established schedules and dietary procedures.
  • Assist with food preparation, including cooking, serving, and cleaning up after meals.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and work areas.
  • Restock and replenish food and supplies as needed.
  • Assist with tray and table settings, including arranging tableware, condiments, and tray cards.
  • Deliver nourishments and supplements to the nurse station for distribution to specific residents.
  • Participate in QAPI (Quality Assurance Process Improvement) program to ensure high standards of quality care and services.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Specialized training in food service is desirable.
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English, follow directions, and complete tasks.
  • Ability to follow time schedules for meal preparation and serving.
