Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Orthopedic Surgeon to join our dedicated team in Southeast Alaska.

Role Responsibilities

  • Must be a Board Certified Orthopedic MD/DO with a Fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery (Total Joints) - mandatory
  • Preferred minimum of one year of post-training experience
  • Willingness to engage in a distinctive, rural medical practice in Southeast Alaska

Candidate Profile

  • The Ketchikan environment offers a diverse range of cases, primarily involving adult patients
  • Well-equipped operating room for extensive surgical procedures
  • Support from 2 trained Casting Technicians
  • Collaborative team comprising 2 surgeons and 1 Physician Assistant, with robust Registered Nurse and Medical Assistant support
  • Schedule includes 3 clinic days and 2 operating room days
  • Strong teamwork between the operating room and clinic settings
  • Utilization of Epic EHR system for patient management
