Transforming Healthcare Professionals as a Physical Therapist Assistant Instructor

Are you a skilled Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant with a passion for guiding and shaping the future of healthcare professionals?

Concorde Career Colleges is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist Assistant Instructor to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

Instructional Duties:

  • Instruct classes as assigned, utilizing contemporary expertise in assigned teaching areas.
  • Prepare comprehensive lesson plans and course materials, ensuring security of assessment tools and confidential documentation.
  • Assess students objectively for academic performance, utilizing and monitoring the learning management systems.
  • Maintain the required class duration, ensuring a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.

Student Interaction:

  • Create a positive classroom environment, serving as a role model for professionalism and conduct.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students on academic performance, grades, and behavior, communicating student concerns to the Program Director.
  • Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance, facilitating tutoring and makeup work as needed.
  • Refer students to appropriate resources for additional advising when necessary, enforcing campus policies and procedures.

Related Duties, Outside the Classroom:

  • Keep accurate records and stay informed of current instructional methodologies, participating in ongoing faculty and professional development activities.
  • Attend workshops, seminars, and meetings to improve instructional and professional skills, assisting with graduation ceremonies and campus activities.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly classroom, assisting in equipment and technology maintenance, contributing to a positive campus culture.
  • Assist other departments when needed, embodying the core values of Concorde Career Colleges.

Qualifications

Your Qualifications:

  • Must be a licensed Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of employment.
  • Must have a minimum of an associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years full-time post-licensure clinical experience in physical therapy.
  • Must demonstrate contemporary expertise in assigned teaching areas and demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and student evaluation.
