Position Summary: NodeFlair is seeking a dedicated SATCOM Engineer I - (SECRET CLEARANCE) to support our government client. The selected candidate will engage in various technical assessments and analyses related to satellite communications systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive technical evaluations and analyses of program activities.
  • Assist in the development of system architectures, terminal designs, waveforms, and access protocols.
  • Analyze system performance metrics, including throughput and response times, alongside operational requirements and system load.
  • Perform systems engineering assessments of satellite and terminal configurations.
  • Contribute to proposal and technical evaluations for satellite communication systems.
  • Support design reviews and assess contractor designs for satellite and terminal systems.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for stakeholders.
  • Coordinate effectively with various organizations, including military and industry partners.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in transmission aspects, covering modulation, coding, link budgets, radio frequency equipment, antennas, waveforms, and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, testing, or a related discipline is required.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in SATCOM engineering is essential. Candidates with additional relevant experience may substitute their degree.

Clearance Requirements: Candidates must undergo a security investigation and meet eligibility criteria for classified information access; an active United States Department of Defense Secret clearance is mandatory.
