Job Title: Registered Nurse - Infusion Level II

University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Hollywood, Florida. As a Registered Nurse - Infusion Level II, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and administering chemotherapy and biotherapy agents.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology nursing and experience in administering chemotherapy and biotherapy agents. As a Registered Nurse - Infusion Level II, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, monitoring therapeutic responses, and obtaining pharmacokinetic blood samples and other laboratory specimens as required by each protocol.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer standard chemotherapy and biotherapy agents, as well as research study and non-chemotherapy medications.
  • Monitor therapeutic responses and side effects, and obtain pharmacokinetic blood samples and other laboratory specimens as required by each protocol.
  • Assist in maintenance of up-to-date protocol information in clinical areas.
  • Document patient information in a concise, accurate, and legible manner according to clinical practice standards.
  • Support patients and their families during trial treatment, and educate them about their treatment and protocol requirements.
  • Utilize independent learning methods to become knowledgeable about new protocols and protocol changes.
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
  • RNs hired with an Associates (ASN) degree have 2 years to complete the BSN degree.
  • Oncology Nurse Society Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Administration Guidelines provider course required.
  • Oncology certified (OCN) preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of oncology nursing experience, including recent experience in administering chemotherapy and biotherapy agents.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing care methods and procedures, and health and safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Excellent patient experience skills.
