Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at BB Imaging & Healthcare Consulting. As a Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic services to our physician partners in Tallahassee, Florida.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform sonographic scans for multiple modalities: General, OB/GYN, Echo, and Vascular
  • Inspect and review patient charts, reports, lab results, and medical history
  • Create patient reports to assist the physician with documentation
  • Analyze sonograms to identify or rule-out patient/fetus anomalies
  • Communicate sonographic findings to physician
  • Communicate machine errors or needs to maintain quality machines and imagery
  • Restock sonography rooms with required supplies for sonography performance
  • Cover a variety of clinical settings, including outreach clinics, which may involve extended commute times
  • Increase your knowledge of diseases and new procedures through CMEs
  • Other duties assigned by managers

Requirements:
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
  • Registered Vascular Technologist Certification (RVT)
  • 1+ years' experience in AE
  • Knowledgeable of human anatomy and medical terminology related specialty
  • Knowledgeable of applied physics related to ultrasound
  • Compliant with HIPAA as it relates to the use of EMR systems
  • Able to communicate effectively with physicians, clients, and team members
  • Able to remain calm in emergencies or patient distress
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Registered with an OB specialty
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS-AE)
  • Bachelor's degree in Sonography or other related fields of study
