At HDR, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Traffic Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our transportation planning group, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our transportation infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Provide design oversight for the production of roadway, lighting, signing, pavement marking, traffic signals, and traffic management system design plans; intersection design; capacity and signal warrant analyses; and all aspects of an Intelligent Traffic Sub-system.
- Technical Expertise: Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity while planning and developing projects or design activities that have significant impact on major company programs.
- Team Supervision: Organize and supervise the work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians as needed.
- Project Management: Serve as project manager on larger projects, though project management is not the sole focus of the position as needed.
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years' experience in ITS and traffic engineering for urban and rural highways, major and minor interchanges, and intersections.
- Licenses and Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, experience using HCS, CORSIM, Synchro/SIM Traffic, and other software packages; strong oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
