Job Title: Senior Application Developer

Description

The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge web applications that meet the needs of our researchers and clinicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop frontend web applications using modern frameworks and technologies
  • Develop and maintain backend web services using Python and other relevant technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Deploy and maintain web applications using Docker and Rancher
  • Provide exceptional user support and troubleshooting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on frontend and backend web development
  • Strong knowledge of modern web development frameworks and technologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with project management and technology selection
  • Knowledge of CMB surveys and their data products
  • Experience with HTMX, React, and other relevant web frameworks
  • Experience with Python web frameworks and the S3 API

This is a 3-year term appointment.

$51,824.00 - $95,000.00 Annual Rate

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
