Perfusion Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Perfusion Specialist to join our team at Montefiore Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing patient care requirements and treatment necessary for cardiopulmonary bypass/assistance before, during, and after surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate the heart/lung machine
• Consult with physicians and select appropriate equipment
• Perform related duties as required

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited NYS college with an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in perfusion technology or a NYS accredited certificate program in perfusion technology
• Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion is required, once eligible
• BLS is required
