Magnet Medical is seeking a skilled Travel CT Technologist to join their team in Kingman, Kansas. As a CT imaging specialist, you will be responsible for operating computed tomography scanners to perform diagnostic imaging procedures for patients.

Job Overview:

In this role, you will work closely with physicians, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate imaging procedures and assist in diagnosing medical conditions. You will ensure patient comfort and safety, prepare the imaging equipment, and maintain accurate records of patient information, scan parameters, and any complications that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Preparation and Communication: Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining the procedure, answering any questions, and ensuring they are comfortable. Verify patient information, including medical history, allergies, and prior imaging, to ensure accurate diagnosis and appropriate imaging protocols. Position patients properly on the CT table to obtain the necessary images, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. Instruct patients on how to hold their breath or remain still during scans, as required by the procedure.
  • Operation of CT Equipment: Operate and calibrate the CT scanner, ensuring proper settings for each scan, including parameters such as radiation dose, slice thickness, and imaging protocols. Administer contrast agents or dye injections (under physician or radiologist guidance) to enhance image clarity during certain CT procedures. Monitor the equipment during imaging to ensure high-quality images are captured and that no errors occur during the process.
  • Image Quality and Review: Review the CT images for quality, ensuring that all required areas are captured and the images meet diagnostic standards. Work closely with radiologists to ensure that images are of sufficient quality to support diagnosis. Repeat or adjust scans as necessary to improve image quality or ensure comprehensive imaging coverage.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 13 weeks duration per contract
  • 40 hours per week
  • 8-hour shifts, days only

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. A strong foundation in CT imaging principles and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care are essential for success in this role. Additionally, the candidate should be able to collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, document patient information accurately, and maintain a clean and safe environment.

We offer a competitive salary of $123,500 per year, paid bi-weekly, based on an 8 hour shift and 40 hour work week. This amount is subject to confirmation and tax-free stipend will be provided.
