Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at The GIANT Company. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, responding to their inquiries, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operate a cash register accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves, sweeping and mopping floors, and performing other tasks as needed.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting productivity and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals and promote a positive store culture.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a retail or customer service environment.
  • Knowledge of cash handling procedures and policies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

The Cashier will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with frequent interactions with customers and colleagues. The position requires standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a variety of weather conditions.
