As a Financial Credit Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting CorTrust's mission and business goals by managing a diverse array of loan types and preparing loan proposals for both existing and prospective clients. Your responsibilities will include gathering and evaluating financial information to assess the feasibility of extending credit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly analyze current, historical, and projected financial trends and repayment capabilities for various operating entities.
- Investigate and evaluate credit risk elements.
- Advise on loan structuring, pricing, and additional credit options available for upselling to lenders, while developing alternative solutions for complex credit portfolios.
- Prepare, analyze, and interpret tax returns and a range of financial statements.
- Collaborate with the Credit Analyst Manager to prepare and present findings and analyses to Loan Officers and the Loan Committee to assist in making, reviewing, modifying, renewing, and extending lending decisions.
- Complete credit evaluations with efficiency and precision.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Possesses a combination of education and experience to fulfill the primary duties and responsibilities of the role.
- Adapts readily to changes in systems, processes, products, and services.
- Acts as an advocate for CorTrust within the community, enhancing customer experiences and fostering positive coworker relationships.
- Exhibits strong reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity, personal diplomacy, and respect.
- Understands and adheres to the Bank's policies and procedures.
- Maintains a solid understanding of financial services and industry workflows to execute CorTrust's mission and objectives, mitigate risks, and achieve results.
- Handles pressure well, is accountable, and follows through on commitments and decisions.
- Communicates clearly and effectively, presenting numerical data in an understandable manner.
- Experience in analyzing financial statements and/or tax returns is preferred.
- A degree in finance or accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
