Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Oversee the production of fresh baked, frozen baked, and yeast raised products, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Team Leadership: Direct and motivate plant personnel, perform annual reviews, and update safety programs to stay in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve labor issues, grievances, and arbitration, as well as negotiate contracts and execute corrective actions.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and job performance standards.
Requirements
  • Education: High school education required, with American Institute of Baking Seminars or correspondence courses preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a production facility or retail operation, with management experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation skills, adaptability to change, and a positive can-do attitude, with ability to direct the manufacture of quality products and plan budgets and project goals.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, and lift up to 50 pounds, with occasional travel required.
  • Work Environment: On-site position, general schedule Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, with occasional outside of normal business hours duties and on-call responsibilities.
