Job Summary
Copper Hills Youth Center is a secure residential treatment center for male and female adolescents. We provide treatment that results in positive changes, allowing these youth to return to their families and communities.
Responsibilities
- Provide close supervision and documentation of behaviors.
- Serve as a positive role model for youth.
- Ensure students are meeting defined daily goals, including hygiene, unit activities, education & therapy meetings, etc.
- Intervene during student crisis as necessary by using verbal de-escalation skills and other personal safety techniques.
- Facilitate group interactions and ensure students are behaving according to standards.
- Use positive verbal skills to educate students on appropriate behavior and possible consequences, and enact consequences if needed.
Shifts
The shifts for Behavioral Health Technicians are:
- AM: Sunday - Thursday 7am - 3pm, Tuesday - Saturday 7am - 3pm, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday 7am to 3pm.
- Swing: Sunday - Thursday 3pm - 11pm, Tuesday - Saturday 3pm - 11pm, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday 3pm to 11pm.
