POSITION SUMMARY

This role involves supporting and assisting certified electrical technicians in the inspection, repair, testing, adjustment, installation, and removal of electrical systems within nuclear power facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct inspections and maintenance on the following equipment and their control systems: Motors, Generators, Transformers, Switches, and Electrical Signal and Communication Systems.
  • Identify and rectify faults in electrical circuits and machinery.
  • Install testing apparatus on electrical devices.
  • Create detailed documentation of complex electrical wiring through schematic diagrams.
  • Complete foundational training and achieve qualifications to independently perform basic maintenance tasks, including the use of measuring and testing equipment, power tools, and soldering.
  • Successfully finish advanced maintenance training and hands-on evaluations.
  • Perform advanced tasks under the direct supervision of qualified electrical technicians until the required experience criteria are met.
  • Execute emergency response duties as assigned.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Relevant technical training, trade school experience, or practical work experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude, validated by passing the EEI Tech test.
  • Compliance with Company and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) psychological, drug, alcohol, and medical testing policies and regulations.
  • Potential certification and recertification may be required, subject to NRC or industry standards.
  • Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of this role.
  • Any legal or regulatory modifications affecting the duties or qualifications of this position will be incorporated into this job specification.

HOURLY PAY RATE: $41.20
