About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Advanced Primary Care Provider to join our team at Brown University Health. As a key member of our healthcare environment, you will provide exceptional patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver general and preventative care, conduct check-ups, treat illnesses, order lab tests, and prescribe medications for children and adults.
  • Educate patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments.
  • Manage patients who do not require complex medical management or specialized treatment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Complete charting and required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Promote a safety-conscious work force and participate in policy development and review.

Requirements:

  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Rhode Island or licensure as an RN in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement.
  • Master's degree from an accredited advanced nurse practitioner program.
  • Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current licensure as an ARNP in Rhode Island.
  • Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
  • Knowledge of basic emergency department, internal medicine, generalist, occupational medicine, and family practice procedures.

Experience:

A minimum of two years of related experience is required; prior experience in urgent care or emergency department settings is preferred.

Work Environment:

We maintain a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with established safety procedures and precautions.

Location: South Kingstown, RI

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
