About the Role

Cortica is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Healthcare Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Patient Check-in and Check-out: Ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience by assisting with check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Support Medical Staff: Provide administrative support to our medical staff, including chart preparation, data entry, and other tasks as needed.
  • Neuromodulation Education and Support: Educate patients and families on neuromodulation therapies, including Cranial Electric Stimulation, Endeavor, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation.
  • Order and Track Lab Results: Order and track lab results, genetic tests, and imaging studies to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment.
  • Anticipate and Meet Medical Staff Needs: Anticipate and meet the needs of our medical staff, including preparing charts, ordering supplies, and performing other tasks as needed.
  • Perform Administrative Tasks: Perform a wide range of administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as needed.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Act as Liaison between Patient and Billing Department: Act as a liaison between the patient and billing department to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Assist with Scheduling and Coordination: Assist with scheduling and coordination of patient appointments, including EEG referrals and other tasks as needed.
  • Prepare Items for Presentations: Prepare items for presentations as needed by the medical team.
  • Complete Forms and Documents: Complete forms and documents as needed, including patient records and other administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • 2+ Years of Experience in a Patient-Facing Pediatric or Family Practice Setting: Possess 2+ years of experience in a patient-facing pediatric or family practice setting.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a high level of cognitive ability.

The base pay range for this opening is $22.67 an hour. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
