Job Overview

The Cost Accounting Specialist will play a crucial role in managing all facets of master data evaluation and preparation for the SAP implementation at Burgess Norton Mfg Co.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and pre-load activities of master data essential for the SAP project implementation.
  • Collaborate with Business Process Owners (BPOs) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across FICO, SD, PP, and MM teams to ensure data integrity throughout the order to cash cycle.
  • Contribute to the design, testing, and execution of new processes or enhancements related to master data management.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis on master data integration issues and recommend corrective measures.
  • Work in conjunction with business and IT teams to ensure that master data regulations align with application operations.
  • Evaluate product cost estimates for both existing and new products, particularly Brake Pistons, utilizing Piston Pin manufacturing resources.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Work Environment

  • Office-based work requiring the operation of standard office equipment.
  • Primarily sedentary role involving sitting and standing.
  • Involves repetitive motions, including significant use of wrists, hands, and fingers.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • CPA certification is highly desirable.
  • Possess strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to convey financial information clearly and effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • An MBA is highly preferred.

Professional Experience

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with SAP or comparable software systems is essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet applications is required.
