2. Clinical Diagnosis:

a. Identify and address physical, psychosocial, cultural, and safety needs of patients.

b. Prioritize care based on assessment results.

c. Prepare educational materials for patients and families based on assessment interpretations.

3. Care Planning:

a. Work alongside healthcare teams to develop care and discharge plans.

b. Create individualized care plans that align with established standards to achieve optimal health outcomes.

c. Adjust care plans in response to changes in patient conditions and feedback from families.

4. Implementation of Care:

a. Deliver patient care in accordance with established plans, focusing on individual needs and priorities.

b. Apply evidence-based interventions tailored to specific diagnoses.

c. Utilize community resources effectively to support care implementation.

d. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure cohesive care delivery.

5. Evaluation of Care:

a. Assess the effectiveness of respiratory interventions.

b. Monitor patient responses against expected outcomes.

c. Reassess care plans based on evaluation results and patient feedback.

d. Evaluate the effectiveness of educational efforts with patients and their families.

Qualifications:

1. Graduate of a CoARC accredited respiratory therapy program.

2. Associate Degree or equivalent education is required; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

3. A minimum of eleven years of relevant experience is required.

Licensure/Certifications:

1. Candidates must obtain the Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care within one year of hire and maintain active status.

2. Must hold an active Respiratory Care Provider license from the Indiana State Health Professions Bureau.
