At Universal Shield Insurance Group, we're seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Risk Analyst to join our Dublin, Ohio office. This is a unique opportunity to support our growing insurance company led by experienced professionals with a proven track record of success.

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled and ambitious individual with a natural curiosity who is a self-starter, accomplished multi-tasker, and strives to deliver world-class service to key stakeholders. As a Commercial Insurance Risk Analyst, you'll be responsible for coordinating and communicating with various parties, including agents, producers, and underwriting staff, to support our underwriting efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure quality and timeliness of policies and correspondence, responding to customers' inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate electronic files per company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform exposure comparisons, research risks via company and public data resources, reviewing applications to ensure accuracy.
  • Quote/issue commercial property, general liability, and inland marine lines of coverage, processing endorsements as needed.
  • Review property and casualty inspection reports, managing necessary inspection recommendations.
  • Review policy performance for renewal business, requesting additional information as needed.
  • Develop personal industry skills and knowledge to meet the company's culture and expectations of continuous learning and career enrichment.
Requirements
  • Five years of commercial insurance underwriting assistant experience working with small and mid-size accounts.
  • Minimum high school diploma / GED required.
  • Previous commercial insurance rating experience is required.
  • Moderate knowledge of commercial coverage endorsements rules and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal decision-making and analytical skills are required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to prioritize multiple tasks with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

This is a non-exempt position with an hourly pay range of $25-$35 per hour (negotiable based on experience).
