Job Overview

Westminster Oaks is in search of a part-time Culinary Services Cook. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting high-quality meals using premium ingredients for our residents, guests, and staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Adhere to all relevant regulations, policies, standards, and guidelines associated with employment at Westminster Communities.
  2. Organize workstations in accordance with established protocols.
  3. Prepare all food items following standardized recipes in a clean and timely manner.
  4. Distribute prepared meals to all service areas with accuracy and consistency in both preparation and presentation.
  5. Restock supplies as necessary throughout the shift.
  6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation by employing effective safety and sanitation practices.
  7. Assist in the cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing of the kitchen and its equipment.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • ServSafe certification is required or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Proficient in basic math skills.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of culinary experience in a high-volume, full-service dining environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of basic food preparation methods and cooking techniques for large-scale food production.
  • Familiarity with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and data management programs.
  • Basic knife skills.
  • A willingness to take on a leadership role.
