Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex security detection products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing program execution, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery of products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Program Manager in maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including US DHS contracting environment, to ensure effective program execution.
  • Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance of major programs/services, adhering to company and industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement project plans, define scope, plan, develop cost and risk plans, procure resources, and ensure successful program completion.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal partnerships across the Operation and functional teams.
  • Develop and track progress towards program goals and objectives.
  • Support Program Manager in program P&L understanding and financial goal development.
  • Identify business development and value-added sales opportunities related to programs.
  • Prepare periodic status reports and monthly Program Management Reviews.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, International Business, Law, or related field.
  • 8+ years of related experience or a Master's Degree with a minimum of 5 years related experience.
  • Proven experience in leading projects with integrity, treating others with respect, and open communication.
  • Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, influence people outside of direct reporting relationships, and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including M365, MS Excel, and MS Project.
  • Working knowledge of financial concepts and measurements, including ROI, earned value management, and net present value.
  • Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments, with knowledge of MRP systems and Configuration Management principles.
  • Security Requirement: This position requires vetting by US Department of Homeland Security and may require a Public Trust clearance. Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • PMP Certification is preferred. Highly relevant and successful Program/Project Management experience may be considered as an alternative.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with development, installation, delivery, maintenance/warranty, and/or management of security detection & automation equipment.
  • Experience in obtaining various licenses, certifications, and accreditations for contract requirements.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization.
