We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to critically ill newborns and their families, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care that reflect assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating the outcomes of that plan.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement activities, including planning, measuring/monitoring, assessing, and improving.
- Adhere to LMP Workplace Safety principles and practices, and apply standard precautions to maintain a safe environment for self and others.
- 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in a Level II NICU or above.
- Successful completion of a KP Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) course or approved equivalent within the prior 12 months.
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
Experience at a level 3 NICU, with the ability to train for higher levels of care and cross-train to at least one other Perinatal area.
