Cafeteria General Worker Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cafeteria General Worker to assist in the preparation, presentation, and clean-up of school meals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve food to students and staff according to instructions.
  • Clean any area of the kitchen according to sanitary regulations.
  • Store all food properly to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Follow all safety instructions when using equipment to prevent accidents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director or Superintendent.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow basic operating and use instructions.
  • Ability to give and receive instructions and information effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of food service and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a clean and safe workspace.

Working Conditions: This is a part-time position with a variable schedule. The Cafeteria General Worker will be required to work in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat, noise, and cleaning chemicals.
