About the Job

This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work as a Special Procedures Tech at McLaren Bay Region. You will be responsible for performing specialized radiographic procedures under the direction of a radiologist/physician. Your expertise will be invaluable in producing high-quality images and preparing them for timely interpretation.

Responsibilities
  • You will perform radiographic diagnostic/interventional special procedures by following and verifying referring provider's orders. Your independent judgment and application of learned methodologies will be crucial in adhering to established policy and procedures.
  • Educating patients and families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed will be an essential part of your role.
  • You will produce high-quality images and prepare/present them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Accurate documentation is also a priority.
  • You will perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements, demonstrating your ability to troubleshoot and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
  • A safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors is paramount. You will adhere to radiation safety policies and maintain confidentiality of all work information.
  • Accountability for efficient workflow operation is key. You will monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure non-interruption of service.
  • You may be required to perform other related duties as needed and directed.
Requirements
  • AHA BLS certification is mandatory.
  • Successful completion of a Radiologic Technology program is required.
  • Registration as a Radiologic Technologist is necessary.
  • A minimum of one year of related job experience is required.
Location

The role is based in Bay City, MI, with a varied schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. This contract position is set to last for 13 weeks.

Compensation

The hourly pay for this position is estimated to be between $55-$60 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
