Job Summary

The Medical Scribe Specialist plays a vital role in supporting physicians by accurately documenting patient information. This position entails the transcription of medical histories, examination observations, treatment plans, laboratory findings, and patient care details. The Scribe must maintain up-to-date patient records, ensuring seamless integration of new data from each visit. Additionally, the role involves performing various ancillary tasks as directed by the physician to facilitate efficient and quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

* Proactively monitor performance metrics and collaborate with management to address departmental challenges.
* Accurately transcribe comprehensive patient histories and document physical examination outcomes.
* Efficiently manage transcription duties for a minimum of four patient consultations per hour.
* Coordinate diagnostic evaluations and arrange referrals to medical specialists.
* Support medical practitioners with administrative duties integral to patient care.
* Uphold a professional atmosphere within the healthcare setting.

Requirements

* High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
* Minimum of 6 months of direct scribe experience.
* Preferred applicants have additional experience working in an Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) shelter, particularly with unaccompanied minors.
* Preferred, Bilingual in Spanish.
