Job Title: RN - PCU/Tele

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a PCU/Tele nurse in Abingdon, Virginia. This is a 13-week contract with 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, and a competitive pay package.

About the Job

As a PCU/Tele nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care plans for patients with complex medical needs.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patients' responses and adjusting care plans as needed.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of recent experience in PCU/Tele nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Virginia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs.
