Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Traveling Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Aerotek. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment, primarily Caterpillar (CAT) and Komatsu. This role requires extensive travel to different job sites to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy equipment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on CAT and Komatsu equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Interact with clients and operators to understand equipment issues and provide effective solutions.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited technical school in diesel engine or earthmoving repair is preferred.
  • Must have experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment.
  • Experience with hydraulics, electrical, engine, and transmission repair is required.
  • Must own tools (significant amount).
