Position Title: Patient Care Assistant - ICU (Day/Night Shift)

As a Patient Care Assistant, you will be integral in delivering compassionate care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide essential personal hygiene assistance and support with daily living activities.
  • Deliver comfort care and respond to patient needs effectively.
  • Safely assist in transferring patients and maintaining their mobility.
  • Monitor vital signs and accurately document patient information.
  • Identify and communicate any changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff.
  • Uphold a clean and safe environment to foster healing.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Current BLS certification or the ability to obtain certification shortly after hiring.
  • One of the following: 6 months of experience as a nursing assistant, completion of clinical rotations in an accredited nursing program, or successful completion of a recognized nursing assistant training program.
  • Active registration on the relevant state nursing assistant registry.

Work Schedule:

This position requires a commitment to a Day/Night rotation, with shifts starting at 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM, and ending at 3:30 PM and 7:30 PM.

Weekend shifts are required every other week, and holiday shifts may also be part of the schedule.


Union Information:
This position is part of the St Josephs SEIU Local 113 union.
