Experienced Welder III

Job Overview

PrideStaff is actively seeking a Welder III for a manufacturing organization. This position is full-time and classified as Temporary - To - Hire. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in welding.

Key Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years in welding is essential.
• Welding Techniques: Proficiency in MIG welding across vertical, horizontal, and overhead planes, both stationary and turntable. TIG welding experience on at least one of the aforementioned planes is required. Familiarity with Oxy-Acetylene cutting torch is also necessary.

Compensation

Pay Rate: $22.50-$24.50

Work Schedule

Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (Overtime may be required when scheduled)

Core Responsibilities

• Interprets instructions, prints, and work orders for each task. Plans the details of work procedures, tools, and material requirements.
• Fabricates components or structures by cutting, bending, burning, and welding various metals using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Prepares surfaces for welding, sets up, assembles, and tacks welded parts.
• Restores worn or defective surfaces as necessary.
• Utilizes burning equipment and saws to dismantle assemblies or parts and to cut materials to size and shape.
• Ensures work meets prescribed standards and measurements using various measuring instruments.
• Applies knowledge of equipment, work processes, and safety practices to work efficiently and safely, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring proper handling of tools, equipment, and materials to prevent loss.
• Operates powered industrial trucks (forklifts) for loading and unloading materials.
• Fosters a collaborative and positive work atmosphere.
• Assists in training less experienced employees.
• Engages in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Education: Successful completion of formal in-house welding training and a recognized welding certification program is required.
• Skills: Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, specifications, blueprints, or work orders.
