We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Lab Supervisor to enhance our team.
Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Team Development:
- Direct and expand the Construction Testing and Quality Assurance division, focusing on recruitment, training, and performance assessments.
- Formulate and execute strategic initiatives that align with the organization's objectives.
- Promote a culture centered on quality, safety, and ongoing improvement.
Quality Management:
- Create, implement, and sustain comprehensive quality management systems.
- Guarantee that all construction endeavors meet industry standards, regulations, and client expectations.
- Conduct regular evaluations and inspections to uphold quality benchmarks.
Testing and Evaluation:
- Oversee all facets of construction material testing and evaluation procedures.
- Manage the testing laboratory (concrete, asphalt, rock, soil).
- Ensure precise and prompt reporting of testing outcomes and inspection results.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to resolve any quality-related challenges.
Regulatory Adherence:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations concerning construction quality and safety.
- Stay informed about changes in industry standards and regulations, updating company policies as necessary.
Client Engagement:
- Act as the primary liaison for clients regarding quality assurance and testing inquiries.
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations to clients to facilitate project success.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports to clients and stakeholders.
- Proactively seek work opportunities and maintain accuracy in bid management.
Continuous Development:
- Identify areas for process enhancement and implement best practices.
- Design and conduct training programs to elevate the skills and knowledge of the team.
- Remain current with industry trends, technologies, and innovations in construction testing and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction testing, quality assurance, and quality control, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications are preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methodologies, and industry standards.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
