About the Role:

As a skilled Speech Pathologist, you will join our team at Upper Valley Medical Center in an PRN capacity. This role requires flexibility and availability to work variable shifts from 8:00-4:30 pm.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Department Supervisor in Rehabilitation Services, working under their general supervision. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive initial evaluations, reassessments, and discharge summaries for patients of all ages with various disabilities.
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans to enhance patients' functional capabilities.
  • Delegating tasks effectively to supporting personnel.
  • Participating in performance improvement initiatives, case management, peer review, and student supervision as needed.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and research in speech-language pathology.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:

  • A Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program certified by ASHA.
  • A current Speech Language Pathology license from the state of Ohio.
  • A Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to problem-solve, plan, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • The capacity to maintain confidentiality and make independent judgments.
  • A strong track record of acceptable work performance, demonstrating a positive attitude, initiative, dependability, cooperation, and skill in verbal and written expression.
  • Compliance with the ASHA Code of Ethics.
  • CPR certification within six months of employment.

Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary of $90,000 per year, based on location and experience.
